Classic Cars in Miami

The 1956 Plymouth was billed as "All New", but were not all that different from the 1955's. The same "Metal In Motion" look was applied, but added for '56 was the legendary "Forward Look" on steroids. The front grille was updated and more detail was added. The hood ornament was changed from a ship to an airplane. New "Forward Look" badges were placed onto the body and new trim packages were added along with new styled hub-caps. And at last the biggest change by far..... The slight overhang from the rear was extended and heightened into large fins. These changes added up amounted to a re-styled 1955, but that did not stop Chrysler from calling this an "All New" car.

The 1955 Plymouth is a masterpiece of contemporary design. It's clean, forward-thrusting lines give it the air, even at rest, of a well trained thoroughbred... fleet.... trim.... taut-muscled... poised and eager to be off. In its long, low silhouette, its brilliant and harmonious coloring, it is the embodiment of modern styling at its proudest, incomparable best.
